1969 Porsche 914-6 GT

Manufactured in the month of February 1970, it was delivered to the USA and sold via Moore Motors of Philadelphia in April 1970 in Adriatic Blue. The original maintenance record book confirms that Moore Motors sold the Porsche on 1st March 1971 at 50 miles to a Mr Bilner. In November 1973 with 21,000 recorded, the car was purchased by Mr Joseph Fitzhugh of Massachusetts. He kept the car within his collection until it was sold to Mr Larry Lard of New Hampshire in 1995. It is understood the car participated in a variety of SCCA events during this period. Lard sold the car to Roger Bray in 2004, who undertook a very thorough restoration, indeed he used the car for his daughter’s wedding and vowed never to sell it! Roger Bray confirms the restoration costs total nearly £100,000. In 2007 the car competed in the hands of Porsche works driver Nick Faure in the Tour Espana and a number of other European events, fitted with a 2.7RS engine (original engine supplied with the car). In the current owner’s possession since 2009, the car has won several concours events and has been maintained regardless of cost. With its steel GT arches from 1970 (factory supplied), a wonderful history and in spectacular condition, this has to be the best 914-6 on the market worldwide.
